I have been gardening for decades, and somehow it had escaped my attention that thyme plants flower.
They are tiny, delicate white blossoms with five petals and perfectly articulated stamens. They taste like thyme, but less bitter, more sweet. I’m excited to try adding them to my lunches.
One of the joys of my early morning garden visits is that I am still, even now, delightedly surprised and learning.
Have you cooked with thyme flowers before? I’d love ideas.
